RockFish – Healthy Options at NEW Restaurant

My daughter’s and I thought we’d try out the new fish & seafood restaurant called RockFish on Poole Quay and WOW – so pleasantly surprised.

I’m a great cook so I’m fairly fussy with where I eat….and for good reason!

What I want from a restaurant:

1.    Great food (fresh, clean cooking methods)

2.    Great service (smiley, friendly, helpful staff)

3.    Great price (value for money)

4.    Varied menu (something for the whole family)

5.    Great atmosphere (feel at home, creates a buzz that strikes family conversation)

PLUS, I’m always looking for restaurants who can accommodate healthy options and cater for allergies by offering gluten-free options and tailoring the menu to taste (less garlic, spices).

RockFish was impressive with all the great food and amendments to the dishes and we cannot wait to eat there again.

For starters:

I had the scallops, Lily had the salt & pepper calamari and Hannah had the fresh shrimps. All the food was super fresh, melted in our mouth, pleasing presentation and super tasty.

For Mains:

I had the daily special of mussels, Lily had the daily special of pollack fillet and Hannah had the cuttlefish.

Portion sizes were very generous, the quality of the produce was outstanding and very clean cooking methods so we didn’t feel bloated or overly “stuffed” after dinner…which is always a bonus.

For a sneaky dessert:

I had The Sicilian, which was lemon sorbet with a drizzle of Limoncello and it was just perfect and actually something I’ll make at home now too, simple and delicious!

Lily had the Cornish ice cream and Hannah for the very first time in her life had a baked Alaska which was super fun!

All in all a healthy meal backed with fresh fish and seafood bursting with flavour, nutrients cooked to perfection.

If you’re looking for a great night out in Poole then you must give RockFish a try.

We’re heading back for their famous Oysters……something we have yet to try and I feel confident that RockFish will do an awesome job!
